Does your child have braces? If so, they've probably come
across a couple of different foods that are difficult to eat. Especially any
foods that are sticky, chewy or hard can be difficult for them to break up and

to break are:

- Ice
- Nuts
- Popcorn
- Hard candy
- Gum
- Caramel
- Gummi bears
- Apple, pears and raw veggies
- Corn on the cob
- Pretzels
- Peanut brittle
- Pizza crust
- Bagels
- Ribs
Any food that you have to bite into in order to consume is a
prime food for breaking braces. However, there are a couple of ways to get
around it! If your child loves eating corn on the cob or ribs, cut the corn off
the cob and the meat off the bone. Also, you can slice apples up into small
pieces and chop carrots into bite size pieces.
