Thanksgiving will be here before you know it. While planning your feast, be sure to include healthy traditional foods that are good for family too. Here are a few ways to incorporate tooth-friendly foods into your Thanksgiving meal!
Tooth-Friendly Thanksgiving:
- Yams - Instead of having candied yams with marshmallows, opt for a more natural option. Yams are a great side dish on their own, without marshmallows that stick to your teeth.
- Vegetables - Healthy vegetables like broccoli and carrots are a great side dishes that are good for your teeth!
- Cranberries - Cranberries can be good for you and help protect your teeth against cavities. Just remember to read the labels beforehand. Many cranberry sauces contain a lot of sugar, which isn't good for your teeth.
- Milk - Dairy is great for keeping teeth healthy and strong. Milk can be added when you make mashed potatoes or you can drink it during dessert.
No matter what you eat this Thanksgiving, remember to brush your teeth and floss afterwards! Read more about how you and your family can celebrate a tooth-friendly Thanksgiving here.
