April is Autism Awareness month. How can you help to spread the word?Autism is a complex developmental disability that typically appears during the first three years of life and affects a persons ability to communicate and interact with others (www.autism-society.org).
It is reported that an estimated 1 out of 54 boys and 1 in 252 girls are affected by Autism. Autism Spectrum Disease (ASD) affects over 2 million individuals in the U.S. and millions of others worldwide (autismspeaks.com).
