Thanksgiving is a holiday full of delicious foods and drinks. As you enjoy your Thanksgiving meal, don't forget about your dental health! Here are a few tips to help you keep your teeth healthy through the holiday season!
- Moderate Sugar - Holiday foods and candies can be high in sugar. Parents should make sure that kids don't overindulge. Watch out for carbonated and sugary drinks that damage teeth.
- Limit Snacking - Limit yourself to your Thanksgiving meal. Snacking throughout the day can be bad for your teeth!
- Remember to Brush - Don't forget to brush your teeth after dinner. The cooked starches in breads, crackers, and pastas can take longer to clear the mouth than sugar.
- Choose Healthy Snacks - Cheddar, swiss, mozzarella, and monterey jack are great snacks that are good for your teeth!
